How to Get a Library Card

A new library card is issued at no charge to area residents five (5) years of age and older after an application is completed and two (2) proofs of a correct, current mailing address is provided.  Library patrons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign their library card unless they have a current valid driver's license.  A current driver's license is the most common form of identification/address verification, other items which can be used include mail, phone and/or utility bills, printed checks, voter's registration, etc. If you lose your library card, another one can be issued for a $3.00 fee.

It only takes a few minutes to register for your card and you can use it on your first visit although there is a first time limit to two books. On your next visit, you can borrow up to 20 items (books, audio books, and 2 movies)  from any of the library's circulating collections.

Please inform the library staff if an address or telephone number has changed. Failure to return library materials is a serious matter and can result in library privileges being suspended with a fine of $0.25 per day per book and $1.00 per day per DVD. This is assessed per day until materials are returned.
