How to Get a Library Card

A new library card is issued at no charge to area residents five (5) years of age and older after an application is completed and two (2) proofs of a correct, current mailing address is provided. Library patrons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign their library card unless they have a current valid photo identification. A current driver's license is the most common form of identification/address verification, other items which can be used include mail, phone and/or utility bills, printed checks, voter's registration, etc. If you lose your library card, another one can be issued for a $3.00 fee.

It only takes a few minutes to register for your card and you can use it on your first visit although there is a first time limit to two items. On your next visit, you can borrow up to 20 items (books, audio books, and DVD's) from any of the library's circulating collections.

Please inform the library staff if an address or telephone number has changed. Failure to return library materials is a serious matter and can result in library privileges being suspended.
