Get a Library Card

Standard Library Card Registration

All McMinn county residents age 5 and older are eligible for a library card at Etowah Carnegie Library! Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.

To register for a card, you must bring valid, unexpired proof of identify and proof of address to the library. Minors (under the age of 18) must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign for their library card.

If you lose your library card, another one can be issued for a $3.00 fee.

On your first visit, there is a checkout limit of 2 items. On your next visit, you can borrow up to 20 items (books, audiobooks, and DVDs) from any of the library's circulating collections. Learn more about the services available to library card holders here

Library card holders are asked to update their current address and phone number annually to provide for uninterrupted library service. Please inform the library staff if your address or phone number has changed.

The library also offers digital access library cards (eCards) for McMinn County residents age 5 and older.
